3 Weight Loss Rules You Should Swear By

1. Follow the 2:90 Fiber Rule

This rule is simple. Every starch that you place in your mouth should have at least 2 grams of fiber per every 90 calories.  The concept, developed by Elite Health cardiologist Dr. Steven Schnur in his book The Reality Diet, almost guarantees that you will always avoid empty carbohydrate foods. Forward on, it subsidize your ingest of fiber which for women should be 25 grams per day and men 38 for men. Fiber is not only protects you against many diseases, but it also promotes weight loss by making you feel fuller on less calories, thus decreasing the overall amount of calories that you consume. You can find fiber in whole grains, legumes, fruits and vegetables.

2. Eat Fish

Unless you’re a vegetarian, you should be getting at least 2-3 servings of fish per week, if not more. Fish is an excellent source of lean protein, low in saturated fats typically found in other animal meats. Filling up on lean protein will make you feel fuller for longer – thus decreasing the urge to snack. Furthermore, Sea food Fish which full of fat such as mackerel, salmon, tuna and sardines are rich in Omega 3s, which studies have shown to protect against just to point out every single imaginary disease.  If you can’t eat fish then try to aim for another healthy protein source such as soy, rice & beans, or a lean cut of turkey.

3. Drink Water (and LOTS of it!)

If you are drinking water you are likely not drinking soda, a latte, or sports energy drink. Most don’t realize how many excess of calories, they intake through their beverages. Even if doesn’t matter about drinks that are supposed to be healthy (i.e.: Vitamin Water) are actually loaded with tons of sugar and calories that you don’t need. Don’t think you can get away with just drinking diet beverages, either. Many studies have suggested that the chemical used as sugar sweeteners really promotes hunger as well.

Additionally, staying hydrated with water has been shown to increase your metabolism (the amount of calories that you burn) and helps prevent against over eating.
